Our Chief Winemaker and founder Ivan Limb is a legend amongst the Australian wine Industry. He has won countless medals and trophies and has had a remarkable influence on the art of wine making over the past few decades. Winemaking runs in his blood and the Limb family has been crafting wine since the early 1920s. Ivan however decided to go out on a limb and put their family name on a wine one can only be described as marvellous. Limb Vineyards produced its first vintage in 1997 and has been winning awards and creating some of Australia's finest wines ever since.

The Limb Vineyards are situated in the heart of Barossa Australia’s most renowned wine region. The climate is perfect for growing hardier styled varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Chardonnay. During the crucial ripening months the Barossa sits at an average temperature of 21°C which allows the grapes to ripen slowly enough to develop deep and complex flavours. Compound this with low rainfall and you get small berries with an intensity you can’t find anywhere else in the world. We select the best vineyards and grapes of the season to create wine that is not only true to its region but will stand out amongst the crowd and show the Barossa’s true value. We put a lot of effort into our wine and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
